WaterSmart Landscape Makeover Series

Technical assistance is an important part of the Water Authority’s WaterSmart Landscape Makeover Series. Participants in this series commit to upgrading an existing turf area with a WaterSmart landscape by attending all four classes, which includes free, one-hour design coaching.

Prior to the first class, each participant receives a free professional site inspection, an as-built base plan and an LID or stormwater management plan to scale for the specific turf area to be converted. Throughout the course, participants refer to and use these plans to develop their final design, i rrigation and planting plans. The free professional design coaching gives participants a chance to interact with local landscape architects and other professionals help to troubleshoot and refine their plans.
